loud engine

Hi

I got a 1.2tsi golf new in 2011.
Lately the engine has become noisey when turned on and on accleration.

Was wondering if anyone has experienced this or any problems with the golf mkvi

I have a 2011 1.2 tsi too
I have to admit I do think its quite loud on start up, havent noticed the acceleration much but def the first but dont know why

Are you guys referring to the initial 45 seconds of start-up being loud? Because that is normal

yes thats it just the initial start up then it settles down, a trait of the TSI?

Erm... If its more like a rattle or clattering noise at start up then there's sommat wrong with the drive chain. I took my car in for that fixing under warranty just last week. It has sommat to do with the oil not going in properly. It didn't always happen, but when it did - it sounded nasty. Luckily it happened when the mechanic tested it, otherwise it'd been one of those "can't hear owt, so can't diagnose and fix it" scenarios...

Mine's the 1.4TSI btw
