Hey,
My 2012 Golf TDI 2 door sunroof stopped working a few months ago. The motor still works when I turn the knob, but the glass does not move. The dealer said the the cable broke in the frame and quoted $2,XXX to fix it. Hard pass on that bill! I found a complete sunroof assembly from a 2010 Golf 4 door for a few hundred dollars. Are the 2 door and 4 door sunroof assemblies the same. Has anyone done this swap on a MK6? The only DIY i can find is for an MK5, which I assume is pretty close to the same. I appreciate the help and information.
