Do I need to pull the whees off in order to take off the VW Logo center caps? I bought 4 new caps to replace the old ones.

It makes it easier at the least, I just take my wheels off and pop em out from the back.

i've done it with a thin bladed flatblade but be careful not to damage the caps or wheels

I usually take a suction cup from a GPS holder or a phone mount and it pulls off easier, no damages.

Or fold over some gorilla/duct tape, T, and stick and pull
