I'm surprised nobody is ordering those stealthmirrors with V1. They cost 450 and also double as an auto dimming mirror.

Just wish it wasn't so damn expensive! :thumbdown:
It's nice, but the cost is higher, plus the install hassle. Honestly, the blend mount and hardwire is a great combo - the detector is not completely hidden, but it stays in a nice spot and functions well, I think it's a good compromise and much better than the suction cups.

i ordered a blend mount today. not sure if i will hard wire it, but at least the mount will be the first step in cleaning it up a tad..
IF I was gonna hard wire it.... i'd just upgrade to the 9500ix anyway.. only reason i got the S3 is for cordless.

Plac, I'd really recommend you hard wire something like the Redline or 9500ix. They are much better detectors than the S3 range wise - and with the new Escort Live, (It's like a trapster with the detector) they are very good. Or a Valentine V1 as well.
Hardwiring is easy, and it looks great. I really recommended something with the new Escort Live feature because it cuts out false alerts, that way you can be more alert when you get a real signal.
