Don't understand why everyone thinks its a full-on hardass speaker that plays a full spectrum soundtrack.

I've considered plugging mine back in, but I don't know. I like quiet.

The car sounds good with it. Who cares where the sound comes from.

Oh no.....it is not coming from the engine...oh what a fake.....

Geeez...

If youre bone stock I see it's purpose but if you have any exhaust mod you don't need it. With my setup I have extreme quiet until I punch it and then it's pure natural awesome intake and exhaust sounds. Vw should've just made a better sounding exhaust and left the vibrators for the ladies.

well said... I prefer the real thing, even if it isn't as loud (and the wife agrees )

I'm loving the responses in this thread. The first soundaktor thread was all polite tea time talk, now we're no-holds-barred at a dive bar at 1am tellin each other what we REALLY think! BRING IT.

I was going to have my man disconnect mine when pulling the ECU to ship to APR. But then he basically refused to "let me" chip my car. Says I've been spending too much $$ on it and it's only 2 months old. Um....so? It's all my own $$ and it's not like I'm hurting financially!!

So frustrating. So I missed the APR sale this time around...I'll get the next one regardless.

Back on topic:
My soundadaktor WILL be disconnected. So cheesy....and embarrassing.

This is one of the very rare soundaktor threads where there may actually be more "FOR" than "AGAINST".. I'm trying it with my K04 tonight. Hopefully it will mask some of that huffing/puffing pflo noise.

A bone stock GTI without soundaktor just sounds sad. Rather.. it doesn't sound like anything.
