Fixable? Weather strip driver side door

Ready to race!
This piece has become a bit unbound and now rests a bit up and off. I purchased some yellow colored weather strip adhesive but it does not hold the rubber molding in place. Anyone else have this problem or know the correct type of adhesive to get this back in position and looking normal again ?

Yes, I push the thing down every now and then. I'm in for a fix.

i have a video where i replaced that on my GTI. ill edit this post in a sec.

oh maybe mine was inner, but same idea. i didnt watch my video.

by the looks of the video, that seal seems to be exactly why that portion of the lip rises. I'm wondering if I can snake something down to flatten it straight or if i'm better off just buying a new replacement rubber seal. I take it the seal itself should have a part number stamped on it.

well my video is the inner seal. the OP is talking about the outer seal. i think its 2 separate parts.
