APR ECU tune
Hi Everyone,
I posted this on another forum but realized I might get better results here. I have a MK6 GTI that I really like but I want to get some more power from it. I know the easiest, cheapest, best way to do this is through an APR Ecu chip. They are having their bi-annual sale now and I want to take advantage of this opportunity. I just had a few questions: 1. How exactly does the APR ECU upgrade work? I understand how it is installed but how does it make the car perform better? 2. By upgrading the ECU, is it recommended to upgrade any other parts? Why or why not? 3. There is a VW dealer not too far away from me (northeast) that offers the APR tuning package. I am inclined to go to them as my car is under warranty and I think it would be better if a VW dealer does the job, but does anyone think it might be better to use a tuning shop instead? Thanks for all the help! |
