MK6's have 2 ways up front, you have a lot more options than I did in my mkv, which had 3 ways.
My recommendations to everyone as far as cost verse benefit if the following
1. Sub and amp - this takes the bass duties off the door speakers and allows you to dial back the bass on the head unit. This makes the front speakers sound a lot better
2. Amp stock speakers or after market head unit - the stock head unit does not put out a lot of power, so powering the stock speakers helps
3. Replace speakers,
Also, at any time, adding sound deadening to the inside of the doors will reduce road noise, and reduce vibrations in the door, which can cause distortion in the speakers
Never even heard of them until you brought them up. Been on this forum for like 5 years didnt even know this existed. IMO the floor mount would be the best. This way you still have access to your tail light, the side mount isnt bad but you lose access to your tail lights on that one side. Would be a pain to have to remove the box and stuff just to change a bulb.do you have an uberstealth side mounted box in the cargo area of your golf/gti?
if so, what do you like about it? what do you not like about it?
do you wish you had gotten an uberstealth under floor box?
if you have an under floor box, what, if anything, do you like on not like?
side mount is in the open and visible
under floor is hidden
if you have one, do you wish you had gotten the other?
I`m asking uberstealth box owners why they chose side mount or under floor mount.
I`m asking for opinion learned from experience
I`m not asking how to install.
I`m not asking what brand is better.
I`m not asking what amp or sub, just placement of sub.
What has been your expierence?
