As for road noise, my wrx is very close to my old gti. The wrx is probably minimally louder inside, but I also had dynamat in the gti's doors. Not sure about the STI though, it might have less insulation.

Beauty. VW wishes they made a car with any type of design aggression. I love my GTi but so looking forward to the Subaru I have on order. Thats a great looking WRX!

So when to the Subaru dealer on saturday. They didnt have any wrx in their lot. There was one, a dark blue one like posted above. Someone was getting their temp plates put on. What a gorgeous color.

Salesman said that they're selling like crazy right now, and my best best would be to place an order in. Because when they get any trim wrx, they sell out within the hour.

I don't feel like weeding through 82 pages here or the millions of posts on Nasioc.

Can anyone give me cliff notes on the new WRX engine and what kind of power is being extracted out of it now? Looking to get back into something AWD next year but it sounds like the new R is going to be out of my price range.

Don't worry, there's not much useful information in this thread, it's mostly just gunkata talking about how his wife wont let him have one, and how maxtdi is unable to differentiate any car that isnt a hatchback and comes in blue...over and over again. :D

It's still too early, they have been slow with the new engine. Cobb Just came out with the beta version of their stage 2 tune, so you can see there's a lot yet to be discovered. Here are a couple threads you could check out, just as some examples:

Aggressive can be attractive. Its all quite subjective. Yet they are not mutually exclusive. I would very much like to see VW take an aggressive angle on styling sometime.

I like the new R but thats about it. Hence my order for a new STi.
