Hi all,
Apologies in advance as I expect this topic is covered a lot!
I've put a deposit down on a 2011 Golf 2.0L GT TDi 140. It's covered 28,000 miles but is over 7 years old now. It is still on its first cam belt.
Plenty of stuff online suggesting the cam belt should be changed at 5 years or 100,000 miles, which comes first. In practice, given the very low mileage of this car for its age, is a cam belt change really necessary at this stage?
Appreciate your thoughts.
Cheers.
