DIY Spark Plug Change

reedsposer22

Ready to race!
I've been using BKR7EIX Iridium.

Spark Plug Recommendations:
Stock turbo (no software), Stage 1 through Stage 2+:
PFR7S8EG Double Platinum (1675) (gapped at 0.032” from the factory):
BKR7EIX Iridium (2667) (gapped at 0.032" from the factory):

any reason to use one over the other? I am wanting to do this soon. Thanks

The makers of plugs say anti-seize is not necessary. That being said I always use a very small touch of it when I do plugs.

hmmm

amazon claims that BKR7EIX Iridium (2667) doesent fit my mk6 (set as my default vehicle in amazon garage)...gap seems to be .032, as indicated in the description.
probably not showing up as fitting my vehicle because it isnt an oem equivalent?
lmk, thanks

I believe I tried them and they fit. Eventually went with BKR8EIX since I have a K04.

BKR7EIX Iridium (2667)

fits perfectly and is recommended. I use them.

I dont use anti-seize. I believe NGK plugs have a coating on threads to protect. Not to mention our Aluminum blocks.

I change my plugs every 20k

Doesn't matter I have the plats and a buddy has the same mods and iridium's and neither car pulls on the other lol the platinum are supposed to last longer but 20k intervals are probably best for max performance

Uni Stage 2 | SPM DP | Magnaflow CB | S3 IC | 034 Mounts | HPA Red Puck | FX350 Kit | BSH Intake | Rev D DV | DG SS | Driver mod ?

The Fixer
I think 20k is early, but the gaps will grow over time. I've been using Denso platinums, they work great and don't break the bank.
