Air Condition

Please help! I had to replace the air conditioning valve control solenoid located on the condenser part. It was held in by a Snap ring (not a screw or bolt). The snap ring got lost and I went to go buy a pack at the auto store and none will fit. Can someone please tell me where to find the specific one? I have a 2012 gti autobahn 4 door. I can’t charge my ac until I get that snap ring as it hold the control solenoid and keeps the pressure.

Go to Ace Hardware and grab one of each size that you think will be close.

Ha, heard it almost 80 in cali today..its 104 on my dash in texas ughjjj
Also check harbor freight they have a cheap box worth all sizes..

Man you’d think, out of the whole box none match the specific one needed.

Damn, that sucks! I know my son just replaced this sensor in his audi and he had the circlip. Maybe a good place to search for them..2010 a4

Yup, go to home depot or your closest hardware store to look for the right size. Dont try to use like a random screw around the house, Ive learned my lesson from it. Or, you could try calling a reliable aircon service to try and solve it for you. Bottom line is, dont try to do it yourself, might end up making things worse!
