Longer Iphone MDI Cable

I am sure this has come up before but has anyone ever found a longer Iphone/Ipod MDI cable? I searched the VW DriversGear site with no luck and the only thing I have come across are eBay cables which I'd rather not try my luck at.

I just bought one of those MDI extension cables, but not from Kufatec,
mfd3.com sold me one for less than $50 shipped.
And they had it in stock, Kufatec states three weeks delivery on theirs.
Scott at mfd3.com was helpful and quick ship,
bought items from them 3 times now and always excellent service.

Note, the MDI extension is not very long, 30.5" connector center - connector center.
I used 2 of them for an MDI relocation on a Passat b6.

I just use a ipod extension cable from Fry's for around $10 and plugged into the original MDI cable and its works. Also cheaper too~

Just get a "Dock Extension Cable" for a few dollars at a local Radio Shack. It works fine and costs $5.00 or maybe less.

It looks like this, or they also come in black.

Passed Driver's Ed
Can anyone link a dock extension that they bought online that works and works well? The reviews for all the ones I find on Amazon are all over the place from "works great" to "broke in a few days".
