The VWR Short Shifter is a simple and cost-effective way to shorten the travel of your gear lever by nearly 25%, resulting in quicker accurate gear changes on manual gearbox vehicles. VWR's Short Shifter system was developed for use in the UK Volkswagen Racing Cup where all vehicles are required to use standard gear selection methods. VWR developed a system that combines the benefits of shorter travel with the reliability of the stock unit, even during hard gear changes! This gives anyone the opportunity to run tried and true race parts on their daily driven or race vehicle without any compromises typically associated with race car parts!
The VWR Short Shifter includes directions and is a simple and quick install. The modification does not require changing the gear lever or interior trim in any way and is completely reversible. The Short Shifter adaptor fits on top of the gearbox, replacing the standard unit and is ideal for daily driven street cars all the way to full on race cars
