where on the engine can i find if its a ccta or cbfa if the motor is out of the vehicle? going to look at a motor this weekend and want to make sure its the correct one

Look for the SAI hose that connects to the stock intake.

Ahh....if the turbo was still attached I believe it may display that info on a stamped piece of metal. Is the hpfp still attached?

i couldnt tell you, the guy took a pic of the motor for me but everything was still attached, hopefully when i get there he still has some parts laying around, so the turbo and hpfp will tell you what type of motor its on??

The Fixer
I think the water pump is the only difference on the block...CBFA has an extra sensor, you'll need to look at pics to see. If your car is CCTA I think you can swap either one in there.

Yes the cbfa water pump ends in “BG” for cbfa motors. Under the hpfp you’ll find the air inlet for the SAI.
