Rear Hatch Swap Electrical Question

Due to a botched rear window replacement when the car was relatively new my 2013 developed rust around the window. I found a replacement hatch the same color and I'm in the process of swapping it.

One thing I wanted to verify was that there were no CAN bus electronics on the hatch that needed to be mated to the car. If necessary I could swap an of the electrical parts but if I can just leave the new hatch as is, it will be a lot easier.

Appreciate any guidance.

You may throw a code for the lights, the backup lights especially.

OK, is that for sure or a hunch? :) I honestly was most concerned about the lock mechanism. Lights I did not expect to be CAN bus. I could of course swap out the light assemblies between the two hatches.

Hoping somebody would have some concrete go or no/go on this.

Sorry I misread your first post. I though you were asking if the wires had to be hooked up. There is no special coding or adaptation for the hatch. You should be fine.

...and I've got tire pressure and stability control lights. Is this just because I had the battery disconnected for a few days? Maybe it needs a drive cycle? Everything else seems to work.

Yes, once you start driving all those lights will go out.
