BAD Transmission Grinds

I'll set the story, I was cruising down the highway going about 65mph in 6th gear... All of a sudden it kicks out of gear and grinds 6th reaaaaallly bad (my hand wasnt on the shift knob, it just kicked back). After that happened the car was grinding in every single gear and even neutral. The only way to stop it grinding was to go back into 6th gear.

Yes but not slammed, We aren't entirely sure yet. Axle is damaged but thinking something was jammed inbetween the axle and case

More than likely it was one of the axle bolts came out of the flange, and one of the flat spacers that goes around the humps on the axle flanges swung out like a pendulum and chopped away at the trans
