Hope you got my sarcasm, but yes, obviously not a bargain. Included 4 hours of travel time, came from LA. Faced with the option of letting the dealer have it for more than three times as much or me fucking it up even more and paying a lot more than $800, I chose to minimize the risk. This guy knew his worth, there was no bargaining with him. I called all of the local specialist and only 1 would touch it. They ended up quitting and refunding my money after several Snap-On Tools expert visits. :iono:

If the turbo is already off/disconnected, you can have the head off in an hour. And that’s free besides a couple new gaskets to put it back on. And then you have all the time in the world, or you can give it to a machine shop and they’ll remove it for like $100 bucks (which was my first plan but they were backed up and I wanted it back together so I got some bits and did it myself).
