Used OEM suspension

Has anyone ever swapped back to their used OEM suspension after years of storage? I got 4 year old OEM springs/shocks with only 5k miles on them when i swapped them out for coils, and i was wondering if it'd be ok to swap them back in or does years of storage in a box do something to the shocks that renders then unusable?

I don't see why it would be a problem. I swapped in my OEM shocks that only had 5k miles on them after sitting in a box for 2 years and I have no problems whatsoever

Sure...I always keep my OEM stuff for swap back when I sell..

100% fine. especially with only 5k miles.
