Vag-com can log your IATs. The temp sensors are there from the factory in your VW...and you didn't even have to buy a Mclaren F1.

Blueteam: Ross-tech is already making a mobile version of their vag-com tool that is supposed to be usable on any phone with an internet connection. A member posted a preview video here a couple months ago.
