From which year mk6 gti started to ship with new tensioner?

Hello,

I just bought a 2014 mk6 gti with 90k miles on the clock and I was wondering from which year they started to come with updated tensioners, because I don't know if I should replace mine or not.

Sorry if this was asked before.

In the "Official timing chain tensioner failure thread" I documented every instance that users reported and compiled it into a spreadsheet. It appears that around 9/2011 is when they changed to the newer revision.





Long story short, all '13s and '14s are good to go.
