I am not shocked whatsoever at the cobb numbers. It has been pointed out time and time again that they haven't dealt with an ecu quite like this yet and it's starting to show.

On another note I wish I could help people with the custom tuning side of it but i cant have access to accesstuner race or pro since i don't have an AP and i wont be buying one to just help the community since I still rock a MK5. I would love to see the available parameters that theyve unlocked for the end user to edit. Any news on the release date of accesstuner race or pro?

Yea I saw that too and is pretty crappy. The race isnt even available, and pro it appears only a couple cobb dealers have so far. Basically the enthusiast only gets the AP and a "good luck"

I think we can expect VERY frequent updates until it gets all sorted out. I wouldn't knock on them just yet. There is also some features that are better than we originally thought like for instance the logging being better than Vagcom when comparing the same number of channels and Hz. No one really expected that.

We don't have some magic ECU. I'm pretty sure the Focus ST, Fiesta ST and the EB Mustang have the same Bosch ECU that VW uses. They'll be able to sort it out as time goes on. If they can tune 911 Turbos, they can certainly tune a lowly GTI.

Not to beat a dead horse but the 911 is a horrible example. Again the 996 and 997 stuff they get praised for is me7. VW used me7 on mk4 cars, so thats like saying they are great at tuning mk4's so they should have no problem with a mk6 lol

Would you purchase again at this time or wait?

Fair enough but they also work on Ford's ST line and the EB Mustang which use the MED17 ECU to my knowledge.

Exactly.
There is far more enthusiast derived info around on the me7.x algorithms and operation than the accesstuner pro/race documents for the Porsche has.

FWIW, there's no upcharge from GIAC to go from Stage 1 to Stage 2. Just shop time.

With APR the stage 2 upgrade is "free" if you buy their downpipe other wise its $150

Unitronic stage 1 to stage 2 cost $150 (Stage 1+ to stage 2 cost $100)

Eurodyne has no up-charge if you have Maestro(Cost 799.99).

Sounds like too many people overhyped a product that they've never used on this vehicle.

The AP just came out, guys. It's just like any other new product on the market. Slow down the expectations and bring on productive results.
