Dyno'd the krautmobile...

Ready to race!
Went to the Leukemia fund raiser car show with several fellow local VW/A-oo-dii owners here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I dyno'd (DynoJet) the blue beast. Videos:

61* outside, 29.31in-Hg, 33% humidity, STD 1.01

Run1: 246.00hp/285.86ft-lbs

Run2: 250.76hp/288.03ft-lbs

Run3: 243.97hp/278.04ft-lbs

All were on 93octane tune, as I haven't put on my USRT TB spacer to allow for safe meth spraying. New TB installed on Thursday, 2nd replacement already, it doesn't like meth being sprayed into it, it seems. Although, VW covered both of them under warranty. :D

Taking drivetrain loss of ~15% into account, the max run = 295.011/338.859 at the crank. :D

It was fun, and good to see that mods are actually doing something.

APR's dyno results, extrapolated for crank hp on their site:

Basically, since I wasn't running the meth and the race file, the above is basically my set-up but instead of APR exhaust or intake, I have a custom 3" TBE and the much-maligned Forge Twintake.

APR's crank #s: 274/314

using 10% loss like they did, my result came to:279/320.

using 12% loss (from below), my result came to:285/327.

Big ups to APR!

Is it me or do I think that's a very high reading dyno.. for 93 octane wtf lol.

Probably should be doing 10% instead of 15% actually then it would be more reasonable aka closer to what APR claims.

Great sounding exhaust though! I see that's custom!

I think the extra oomph is because it's Shadow Blue. Amirite?!

I believe APR does 10% because they use a hub dyno.

Either way, nice numbers!
