How much do you guys pay for an oil change?

Anywhere from $8 to $33. Working at a dealer has its perks lol, filter is $8. Before I worked there I'd get Mobil 1 from Walmart for $25 and get the filter for $8 still because I'm part of a local VW club.

I do it myself.. Advanced Auto or Autozone usually have Mobile 1 with FILTER special for 30-$35

Mobil 1 is about $25 around here and I get the OEM filter online for roughly $10

I pick up 5 quarts of Mobil 1 0w40 502 spec from Wally World for $22. Then I do the Mobil rebate for another $10 off. Final cost $12 for the oil. I buy my filters from ECS for $10. Nice cheap $22 DIY oil change. 67 Y.O. & still changing my own oil. :D

Not sure how much the local dealer charges. I'd guess at least 3 times what my DIY costs.

His program includes:

Oil changes for life, free, every 10000 miles or yearly,
State inspections for life, free.
Any parts he installs, guaranteed for life.
Engine warranty for life.

I've had the GTI, June it will be 8 years, never paid for an oil change. 10K miles on it
2013 Turbo Beetle, same 5500 miles on it.
2017 Passat Technology same.

The GTI has had the oil changed about every 1200 miles.
Beetle, about every 1100 miles.

I buy Castrol Syntec by the case when on sale at Canadian Tire, usually about $33 for 5 litre bottles, Filters for either Golf 2.5 or Tiguan is roughly about $10. DIY oil changes cost about $45 a shot. OK add a dollar for the drain washer as well.
