I'm having misfires under WOT and only when cold out... makes me wonder if it's the PCV as well. Mines the old revision too. No Hard CEL though. Blah, don't wanna spend $100+ for a new PCV.. especially if it doesn't solve the issue

I fitted the Rev D, sounds like an angry pidgeon when you let the gas off now lol. The surging is about 80% better now, hopefully the rest can be fixed by checking all of the boost connections for leaks. I'll stick another video up showing the new sound. No more angry flute noise lol

@Liamface - did that solve the angry flute issue / whistle noise? I'm having the same problem in my 2013 GTI with Cobb Stage 1+ @ WOT and was thinking it might be the DV.

Thanks!

2 weeks after my stage 1 tune my coil packs went out smashing uphill on highway 9. Ten shortly after my dv started acting up. Upgraded to GFB Dv+ and couldn't be happier.

I gapped my plugs down to 0.7mm (0.028") so they should last a bit longer now

Here is the latest video, you can hear the boost fluctuation, but its way less than it used to be. According to data logs, I may be able to replace the fuel filter and get a bit more pressure with a revised part.

A BPV will not pulsate like this. It can crack open and create a whistle but not pulsate. What you're hearing is a fluctuation in the boost level from the wastegate fluctuating. This is most likely from the tune not being happy with your hardware configuration on your car.

Looking at VCDS logs, the N75 duty wasn't bad at all. The problem seems to have pretty much gone now that the DV and boost hoses have all been tightened up.

That being said there was a drop in the low pressure fuel side of things, so I've ordered a 6.6 bar genuine filter as I don't think it's ever been replaced for 58k miles.

I've had experience in fixing hesitation / bogging with fuel filters before with my brothers JDM H22A Prelude SiR and my Renault 172 Cup (Both NA but still fixed with a fuel filter)

Something maybe to note is the maf sensor is turned the opposite way from oe position. Now idk if this will have anything to do with your issue, but some intakes just do not play well with some tunes. If the maf is straight up, perhaps that could make a difference...then again, it might not matter at all.

I'm actually going to clean the MAF out tonight with some carb cleaner anyway so I'll rotate it so it's upright, it's at a slight angle at the moment!

Yes stock intercooler. It's around 3C outside here so I doubt air temps would be an issue seeing as some cars never see air below 20C in hotter climates
