Most people don't realized that road surfaces can be frozen even if the air temp is over freezing. This is also why they have signs next to every bridge or overpass saying road surface freezes more easily.

It is a nice reminder to just be a little more alert.

Anyone who takes it as anything and more serious then simply what it is needs to settle the hell down.

No this DING is an ANTI-SAFETY device.

It's dark and winter here nearly half the year.
garage is warm.

sometime down the road, EVERY SINGLE GD DAY

I will get a DING, my heart jumps, and I assume something is wrong with the car and look at my dash.

the dash now GLOWS SUPER BRIGHT and kills my night vision.

I'm just waiting for a animal or person to jump out at the time of one of these distracting moments of blindness

THIS IS EVERY DAY FOR 5 MONTHS!
it is the exact opposite of a nice reminder.

And, I can't imagine it's serious...

@wright - you know you can adjust the dash brightness right?

Only issue I have is every time I am with someone in the car and it does it they always ask "what was that?" like something is wrong with the car haha also at 39 degrees is a little warm for ice just saying. My audi did it too and I hated it since it always did it every day I would drive in winter =/
