Before I get in on some July 4th sales ...

235/45 17x8 ET40?

235/45 17x7.5 ET43?

Question for all you rolled fender guys out there. My fronts are rolled and my tire is rubbing on the fender liner. I have done the fender screw "mod" and since there is now screw holding it up and its rolled, the liner has no where to attach to and its just hanging there. Any tips or ideas on what you have done to get the liner out of the way before cutting it. Zip ties? I can update with a picture on lunch for better idea.

Cut it away. Only about an inch or so was necessary for me but never rubbed up front since.

Any concerns with the outside elements getting into the wheel well behind liner? As of now this is my daily and concerned about winter salt behind fender liner. But in reality would only an inch create that much concern?

Secondly, for cutting, did you do it with the liner on and mark where it rubbed and just cut in a semi circle around rubbing area?

Id imagine youd have to at least roll the front fenders. Possibly the tears too

I don't think so. I was at that height with my ST coils spun all the was down basically with those specs. You should be fine. I have the same fronts and rears are 18x9.5 et40 and have max stock camber to keep the low.

THanks, in actuality it will be 18x8.5 et40 (et41 if i can source a 2mm spacer) with 225/40 tires.Rolled fenders, fender screw mod(Tab flush against fender) and trimmed liners. I plan on running Konig Hypergrams (18x8.5 et43) however, my ST40 bbk lightly grazes inner spokes and the smallest spacer i could find to clear was 3mm.

So I bought a set a wheels a few months ago and I love how they look, I just want the rear to poke out a lil more.

Current specs are 18x8 et 45 225/40
https://www.flickr.com/photos/vwdork/shares/WnP2x8

I'm on SoloWerks coilovers which still have about 2-3 threads to go down. I've never bothered with spacers before so I'm not sure what will work better. I'm thinking of getting 8mm or 10mm. I already looked some up but there's something I'm not entirely sure on. I read something about "Up to 12mm hub height". Also 14mm & 15.5mm hub height.

So this is technically a two part question, which spacers would work better 8 or 10? And which hub height do I go with?

Thanks!
