Remote Starter in MKVI

As anyone has successfully installed (not by themselves necessarily) a remote car starter?

And do you have any recommendation? I'm thinking of getting for my GTI for this winter. I would like one with looooooong range since the parking from my work building is pretty far.

I was thinking maybe a Viper product.

Also if you live in the Ottawa/Gatineau any recommendation on a shop that does those kind of things,.

I have a Clifford system which is the same as Viper on my MKV. My installer couldn't do the remote start. But it has been done though. Big pain in the ass though.

euh scuse me...are you saying that my dealer will not be able to take my remote starter from my MK5 to put it on my MK6....???
Please let me know....
