I've almost decided to buy the Alzor's, they're just sooo cheap compared to anything else it's ridiculous. Slightly lighter but slightly narrower than VMR. I'm nearly set on stuffing 255/35 Sumi's on the 8" Alzor "Peelers" (21.85 lbs). The RS4 reps are backordered until July and the peelers are lighter anyway...

that's weird, since the RS4 reps they said weigh like 27lbs or some shit, interesting.

Yeah, I thought about ordering those too and sellng my VMR's locally for hella cheap.

Dunno, the RS4 reps I was looking at say 22 lbs

I like them better but don't want to wait over 2 months before ordering.

When you left after taking the final round of pics it sounded incredible. Those Audi V8's are great.

Troy, take a look at these, too. 2 year guarantee on the finish.

Yeah yesterday was the first time I heard the car from the outside at all. People on the Audi forums say the thing is too quiet... sounds plenty loud to me!

Just said screw it and ordered the Alzor peelers and 255/35 Sumi's, should get them on the car by this weekend. Hopefully they don't suck

powerpro - those appear to be alzors as well and charge for shipping.

edit - nice, can't wait to see what you think on them.

Yeah, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the Sumis as well. I'm between those and the Conti DW's.

Stupid thing is my $984 wheels+tires will end up costing $1200 after shipping+mounting, but still far cheaper than anything else out there really. VMR quoted me $1500 total for V708's with the same tires.

WTF it took me like 3 full minutes to figure out why I couldn't find evidence of this sale on tire rack's site... Damn you, golfmk6 banner ads:

And they're on:

200 lbs worth of stock wheels and tires in the trunk == massive reverse rake, though I do still need to lower the front end a bit it isn't nearly as bad as those photos make it look. The wheels look good enough and the 255 tire on 8.0" wide wheel looks and feels fine so far to me. I weighed one of the wheels and they are indeed 22 lbs. Finish has some orange peel going on inside the spokes but is otherwise decent. No complaints here for $400 a set.

No comments yet on the performance of the Sumi's, but one thing I noticed: they are actually made in Japan, not Korea. This is a good thing.
