Hi my neighbor has a 2002 wrx cobb stage 2. Stage 2 Kit Includes:

- AccessPORT

- Quick Start User Guide

- USB Cable

- OBDII Connector

- Software CD

- COBB Downpipe

- COBB Cat Back Exhaust

cobb sayes its good for 224.4 whp @ 5500rpms and 223.2 wtq @ 5100rpms

i want to do some pull with him and i know it should be from a roll how will i do?? inside line road test got a 14.9 second quarter-mile time at 90 mph with a stock wrx back in 2002 he now has 127,000k on his car. im stock right now but will be apr stage 2 soon. should i wait to run him tell i im stage 2?

PS: what will my whp be when im stage 2 apr said im good for 273.74 whp and 313.64 wtq is this tru??

You may be good to go even on stage 1. The older WRX's were quick, but no where as beastly as the 09+'s with 265hp. I think with Stage 2, you will definitely have him - no question.

No way 273 whp and 313 wtq, based off the dynos I've seen on this site that would be bhp. Look at their charts on APR's web site it says "drivetrain loss added" meaning they added back the loss of the drivetrain.

Prob closer to 250 whp and 275wtq

Definitely do it from a roll! I'd almost tell you to wait till you get stage 1 though.

Let us know how it goes!

My 2002 WRX dynoed about the same.

Stock GTI will lose. Stage 1 should win from a roll, with the extra torque.

From http://www.revotechnik.com/index.php?mod=2011GTI

Performance Stage 2

Stock OE - Power (bhp): 207 Torque (lbft): 207

Stock on Dyno - Power (bhp): 197 Torque (lbft): 200

Performance 91RON - Power (bhp): +30-35 Torque (lbft): +75-85

Performance 93RON - Power (bhp): +45-55 Torque (lbft): +90-100

# Dyno tolerance +/- 5%

Results dependent on Intake and Exhaust Set-up

I have yet to see any stage 2 with over 300 wtq and 260 whp is probably one of the higher runs recorded. Not many dyno runs support those numbers.

First, a stock wrx bugeye will eat even a stage 2 gti off the line if the wrx driver knows how to launch with awd... Not all do.

Best is from a roll. I had a cobb stage 2 wrx with upgraded large top mount intercooler, lightened crank pulley, catless up pipe and downpipe, with 3 inch exhaust piping all the way through. Upgraded inlet pipe to stock air box.

The power from both a gti and 2008 or below wrx stage 2 should be the same. Just don't do it off the line. IMO, and assuming we're talking about on the street with stock tires.

I'd wait for the stage 2. You should have no trouble then.
