Retrofit MK7 Nav System

I have been looking at the MK7's Discover Pro, and I came across this

Yes but discover PRO will not fit in any older cars.

It's made for MKVII and newer cars, and no retrofit will be possible into older generation cars.

RNS-510 by no means is not going away. There are new units in plans as Continental is still on board until 2017 to manufacture new units and then another 10 years for support/warranty.

Indeed Discover PRO made by Pioneer is a nice step forward, but if it won't work in MK6 platform and older then keep this thread on the subject as it is not related to RNS-510. It is completely new system for newer generation VW's

I'm going to say, yes that its true.

Its an entirely different platform. Different wire harnesses. Different micro controllers. Different CAN BUS. Different hardware. Different mounting structure.
