**335i vs. Stage 2**

I remember reading in a review of the 335is that it was the only way to get a DCT without getting the M. I doubt that you could order a DCT, but I suppose it's possible with $$$$

Ready to race!
2 months ago, I had some sport moment with a stock 335i, to 120km/h to 200, it was close, He got like a nose I would say.

Yesterday, a heavily modded 335i destroyed me, would say in the 500ish hps (compared to a Z06 that destroyed me the last summer), the guy got something like 5 cars on me in 2s...

but as a good looser, I took 2 sec to catch up the guy to give him a thumb up. At the same time that I did it, he did a thumb down!

What a douche lol.

Was kinda upset of the thumb down, was like... did he really did it? did I really saw it?... Couldnt believe it.

if you just assumed this and that's all you're basing it on, i'm willing to put money on it being the normal slushbox. really doesn't make much difference because the BMW slushbox automatic is damn good as is.

Still kinda weird they don't but dct in the sportier models, lots of cars are getting it these days

Just another fag in a 335.

BMW will give you whatever you want if you order it from the factory...you can get an m5 with crank windows if that's what floats your boat

This is just wrong. You can custom order a car based on the available options. A DCT is not, repeat not available in a 3 series unless it's an "is" model or an M3.

As I was driving home with the folks this weekend a 335xi with 4 teens in it were zipping around me. They eventually backed off when they saw my folks in the car. But even if I was by myself and they challenged me I wouldn't take the bait.

1. I know I'm gonna get creamed
2. If I win (highly unlikely) I'll just hear the excuse of it's b/c they were carrying 4ppl.

So I'll just save myself the embarrassment.

Just another fag in a 335.

My uncle (BMW driver) told me a joke "What do a porcupine and a BMW driver have in common.... They're both pricks."

I do find that BMW drivers tend to be jerks. My neighbors son has a 135i and in the neighborhood streets he'll zip bye going 40+ mph. Same with his mom in a 335i. The jerkish attitude associated with BMW is what made me forget about buying a 3series. I won't even begin to account for the many other jerks in BMW's I've seen.

There seems to be a perception that BMW owners are jerks but you could say that with any car bought for prestige. Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar, etc would fall into this same category. It's also kind of rude to categorize a brand because of behavior you seem from your neighbors.

Frankly, the attitude that GTI owners on this forum have about modding their cars so they can race on the street for bragging rights could be considered as other than friendly.

Ultimately we should buy cars that make us happy. I drive a BMW 3 series because I love how it drives and I didn't consider how other drivers act when I made my decision. By they way I considered a GTI as well in case the BMW didn't fit my budget.

actually if you go to the factory...over in germany and order a car directly from them, you can get whatever you want

I am in no way shape or form talking about what you can go to a dealer and order

you flipped the way it goes....it is what is the difference between BMW's and porcupines?

Porcupines have pricks on the outside

Can you show me a link to confirm this? I've been on 2 BMW forums where we constantly talk about how to order cars for 4+ years and have never heard of this.

you literally have to go to germany and pay for bringing the car over....i used to see them come through the dealership...there was an e46 m3 that came from the factory with crank windows and no options at all, that the owner had put a cage in an s/c'd....there is a lot of stuff we will never get in the US, but if you can get easily outside the country
