There ate several VAG-COM devices on Ebay for about 40 bucks or I could buy this one from the link below for $250.00 Could anyone explain to me why I should buy directly from ross-tech?

Buy it from ross tech, their software is free to download, but unless the cable is encrypted with the correct code it won't work. Don't even waste your time with ebay because you'll just end up being stuck with a cable that won't work with their software.

Ross-tech micro-can is what you need for your car at hte minimum cost. Don't eff with the ebay ones!
