Does the golf 09 gti 2.0 come with rev limiter

Got my 09 but wondering if there is a rev limiter or launch control trick? to this model. Almost red lined it to test it out on first gear only once and nothing.

Launch control is DSG-only, not on the manual.

yeah its on my manual i noticed it said something about DSG so there we have it thanx.

I think there's a rev limiter when the car is not moving, ie in neutral on the MT or P on the DSG, It won't let you rev to red-line. I've never tried it, but eons ago in the early days of the forum there was something mentioned. And since you have a 09 GTI, shouldn't you be in the MRKV forums? the new GTI is 2010.
