Hey guys, been doing some reading, a little confused.

What MK5 Parts fit the golf R;

From what i understood, the intercoolers, k04 Intakes, and fuel pump upgrades?

However the R downpipe is different than the mk5?

Thanks

Sounds interesting, thanks jeff!

However the FMIC will work on the golf r from the mk5 gti's, and the intakes should be the same?

They will fit 100%. i guarantee. I got my THS intercooler for mkV GTI although i have R. Intake is also for S3 8P. So all fits

In the same vein, will light weight TT/S3 alloy arms work on the Golf R? Might be nice knock off some unsprung weight and counter some of the AWD-added mass.

Everything else on list here will work... except the DP dude because:
  1. mk5 is FWD vs R AWD ... space issue
  2. K03 and K04 don't share the ame DP config

Hope this helps.

Will the coilovers on my mkv gti fit and work on the Golf R?

AFAIK there are 2 different strut diameters on the MkV 50mm and 55mm so they may not fit. Not sure what diameter the R is. The other issue is that the spring rate will be wrong as the GTI is lighter and has different weight distribution.

I had Bilstein PSS10 on my previous Skoda Octavia vRS, and on their website it had the same part number as for S3 8P, R32 mkV, GTI mkV, A3 8P, Golf 5 2.0TDI. And then i moved them to my S3, and worked perfectly.

Now on the new generation on Golf it looks like Golf R and GTI mkVI has different part numbers on Bilstein's website.
