Winter? What’s winter?

I can see if you have the 16GB, 32GB or 64GB iPhone. But nowadays with the 128GB/256GB iPhone, that's a lot of pictures and Videos you have to store to fill it up. I'm around 1700 pictures and only using about 8GBs. Majority of which are the live photos. I pay 99cents to backup my pictures on the iCloudz. Would hate to lose GBs worth of pictures.

I really should go through my album and cleanup. I'm sure a lot of pics are doubles or are useless (blurry).

They werent making fun of current iphone storage though. they were saying throughout the years how iphone has been lacking.

07-10 ios updates made iphones slow and not usable (meanwhile samsungs you could change out your memory cards)

13' the next comparision was how small iphone screen was to galaxys and that galaxys are waterproof

15' laughed at iphone accessories like their constantly changing cords and headphones

nahmean? my exact dates might be off.

not gonna lie, i find the iwatch appealing though.

either is a good phone, lets be honest the real mvp in the room is otterbox

My response was towards Roy's comment about constantly deleting pics. Cause by now we know Roy maxes out 256GB of porn on his phone

I actually prefer the smaller screen, if I didn't opt to get the pleb version of the 5S back then, it would probably still be my main phone. Now we use it as a spare with the free line from Tmobile.

iWatch is the tits. Hopefully upgrade mine to the series 3 soon, still rocking Series 1 and it's been a tough nugget. But I don't think I would get the one with cellular.

I can store 256 + the factory 64 GB on my Note 8 at any time. The Note 8 actually has a pretty small form factory given how large the screen is.

Not sure what the oldest has. I think Iphone 6?

If you're going to use it for just the garage, get any Wifi IP camera off Amazon and you should be fine. Check out Foscam and Armrest (they're same company, but Armrest is their Audi). They recently discovered a big flaw in a lot of IP Cameras, I believe by now, most major brands have been patched. Foscam offers cheap online storage, or some you can use a memory card (stay away from cheap ones, otherwise they constantly fail).

Nest is going to cost you per month, depending on what package is currently available and which you select. But their software is really good and setup is a breeze. Quality is pretty good as well. Nest will record audio and video.

We have a couple Arlo cameras in addition to a wired setup. 100% battery. Nice phone app and free online storage included for 1 weeks backup. I would recommend them.

IIRC Arlo's are triggered by events, so it can conserve battery. Can you check them on demand to get a live view? Being in a garage, can't see batteries lasting long with constant activity and cold temps in the winter.

We have the first version at the GFs house. They take standard CR123 batteries. They are outside and lasted quite some time last winter. I would guess roughly 3 months.

I have the 720P versions at home (they now have 1080 version out). They are activated by motion, but you can do live view too. I have it set to record only when there is motion at my house, so most clips are 10 seconds or less. To date, I have only charged them once since getting them in August. They get a lot of clips. Last week the neighbor had some drainage put in and it recorded 250 clips in one day. I originally got them cause of some kids throwing eggs. I had them set up across the street and on my mail box. It caught every single car, at night hours...some days over 100 clips. For battery camera, I would say the batteries last a very long time.

You can also plug them in if inside (or outside) and never worry about battery going dead if you want.

Here's a clip of me yesterday: https://arlo.netgear.com/hmsweb/users/library/share/link/E0F22C994E5C1EB8_201711

The 1080 would be a lot clearer I imagine. But for being 100% battery powered, I think they are fantastic. You can put them anywhere and move them around if you want. The app is really easy to use and checking history is easy too. You can share the links with people, download the videos, etc. I have my wired cameras for "real detail" and catching peoples license plates. These are great to keep an eye on the house without having to log into a slow dvr and search hours of video just to see what time a package was dropped at the door for instance.

Lot of good options out there.

Too dark for me, I rear window is practically useless. I’ll remove it and redo next spring.
