Lowering Springs Help?

I want to lower my GTI but I’m on a tight budget so I’m going the spring route until I can save up for coilovers, just curious about possible rubbing or if fender rolling is needed.

I’ve been looking at the options on ECS

The ones that caught my interest:
Eibach spring with an approximate 2 inch drop
Megan Racing springs with an approximate 1.75 inch drop
There are other with a drop at around 1 inch - 1.5 inches as well

I’m running the ecs flush fitment kit as well on oem 18inch wheels if you have pictures I could see to get an idea I’d appreciate it also. Can someone let me know what’s the best route to go for springs and any helpful tips at changing them out.

Also, I did a light look around/search before posting so if theres a thread for this already if I could be directed that way then?

A lot of folks seem to like the DG/VWR springs. There’s a pretty large thread on them. I’m going to be installing VWR springs with Koni Yellows on Monday.

I have some H&R sports sitting on the shelf if you're interested.

Swap is pretty easy, you just need a spring compressor and a strut spreader tool. I made one using an allen wrench.
