It's generally a short-lived problem.

I worked with a super irritating young guy a few years ago. He started going to my gym. He then decided that since we worked out at the same place that we were clearly besties. He asks me one day, “so what’s your favorite way to work your abs because you know the thing where you can do pull-ups but they’ve got those straps and then you pull your knees up to one side and then the other? That’s my favorite way to work out my abs... what about you?”
To this I bluntly replied, “Really? That’s your favorite way to work out your abs... Mine’s fuckin’ but whatever.” And walked out of the Minilab.

house payments are overrated. If I were to do it again, I would had tried to save more and bought my house cash or possibly a smaller house and put the extra payment money into an investment so grow to reinvest in a larger house later in my life (like now).

The only saving grace is that I have grown into this house now and have not needed to move since I moved in 12 years ago. I was able to refi little over a year ago at a ridiculous rate for 15 years.

When young, everyone wants the largest house they can get. Now that I am getting older I am looking at ways to save/grow my money. Every move now is a way to benefit in the future.
