Hey guys, does anyone know who the OEM is for the "genuine" Volkswagen / Audi R8 coil packs? I'm curious, because it appears some equivalent replacements are available (just like any other part) that are a bit cheaper than getting a set of the genuine items on the internet. I'll only bother if anyone has any insight as to who might be making those though; I don't wanna get stuck with junk.

It would appear that VW uses several different suppliers for the genuine coils.
06E 905 115E are made by Eldor. Not sure who makes the F revision ones.
I likely will, I'm only bothering to ask because some well regarded companies make the equivalents (namely, Denso - but others too).

True genuine coil packs and you choose the plugs you want with it. Thats what i did. Yes they are stamped.

They also seem to be the same for the V8 Touareg (unsurprisingly, being the same 4.2L), and relatively cheap.
