What kind of air filter are you using in a stock air box?

This is my first GTI.....in everything I've had before Ive ran K&N or AEM.

Looking to get some input on what ya'll recommend. Was gonna just order a K&N but I figured Id hit up the forums to get some input first.

Also, George Washington liked tacos. Its a fact.

Continue using the stock filter as the oil from a “wet” filter f@#ks the MAF and foam particles from a dry filter eventually enter the intake and score the internals of the engine, the stock filter is good up to somewhere like 300bhp according to my local VAG tuner Dan @ turner race developments

if you aren't changing the intake the stock on is fine and works quite well.

I have the aFe Pro-Dry S drop in filter. No obvious difference in performance but the tone of the intake deepened. It is not an oiled filter so it can be rinsed clean when necessary. I do that about once a year(approximately every 20,000mi). But I agree, its kind of a waste of money.
