Interior Carpet

Quick (possibly stupid) questions about the interior carpet:

1. Do they absorb liquid all the way through to the metal framing or is there nylon or something to form a barrier?

2. Is it possible to replace just a section of the carpeting or would the whole interior have to be done?

Just trying to get the dirt smell out of the carpet after some mulch soaked an area passed the monster mats... :mad0259:

Try to clean it with warm water and soap. Scrub with a cotton towel or brush then vacuum the wetness out. You could try a specialty carpet cleaner too. I would exhaust this option before considering a more expensive solution.

Yea I tried a dumb and dumber and the beer bottle full of piss spilt. Haha Jk. I picked up a bag of mulch I guess it must of been a little wet so some water from in the bag of mulch managed to get on the carpet. I think I may have got it cleaned thoroughly enough the smell is gone.

Try a box of baking soda. Open it and leave it in the car for a little bit. I've had good luck doing this.

Forgot about that one. Good idea. Ill try it if the smell comes back.

Eww mulch that stuff can stink. OxyClean works well too
