Mk6 headlights, medium rare at your own risk.
Purchase retrorubber from the retrofit source or wherever
Preheat oven to 240F
Remove all bulbs, caps, and rubber vents. Put aside for now
Place headlight in oven lens side off the rack for 20 minutes
Remove and check or doneness by sticking flathead screwdriver or butter knife if thats your thing in between lens and housing.
Place in oven for another 15-20 minutes and repeat.
Be careful not to break the channel, if needed another 5 minutes is fine.
Sealant will never fully soften so some elbow grease is advised.
Eventually you will hear a pop, not like breaking plastic, more like a jar opening for the first time and you are almost there.
Once you finally have the lens off let it cool and get a pick or a small screwdriver and get under the seal.
Once you have a bit of seal off slowly but firmly pull on said seal to remove from plastic. Again elbow grease is advised.
Pack in new retrorubber into channel firmly, if needed cut off short strips for the wider sections.
Repeat for other headlight at your leisure.
To reseal follow directions on the retrorubber.
Enjoy yourself with a libation of your choice.

The Retrofit Source just released a new product which supposedly makes taking permasealed headlights apart a breeze
