Really just curious here, as I don't see the major benefit of this piece (not much boost lag to speak of). Does it change the blow off noise at all? Lol

I don't have one myself but i've heard it can change the sound slightly. On the stock turbo this wouldn't provide much benefit, if you're going k04 without the DV port or big turbo though its basically required.

Does this have the 3" coupler from the stage 2 pipe to the turbo or the stock size one?

The original kit had 2 options, the size for unitronic's intake (the 3") and the stock intake size. If you didn't specify you wanted the smaller one, it came with the larger, just trying to make sure it will fit.
