You can cut the heat shields to mantain certain part of shielding infront of sensitive components that will now be exposed to heat. If not cutting them i spose i could unbolt them completely then heat shield tape wrap them.

Ive never bought heat tape/wrap before. Any that you guys would suggest?

The heat shield can't be removed easily without cutting it if you aren't removing the hub. I had to cut mine out as well.

i had no problem cutting mine out with a quick dremel, did NOT think about heat wrapping anything; thought they were just dust shields not heat shields lol
