Double-blind would be nice too.

This sounds like it'll be more of a benefit for the people who are flashed, right?

It's a benefit for everyone, but most noticeable to those who are flashed, yes

This sounds good.

Just to add to the discussion, my '09 CC wore out the right rear brake after only 25K and know the reason is for my driving habit. On the way to work, there's 3 major right hand sweeper that I like to take flat out and the ASR blinks like hell on these corners but I have so much fun doing it.

Ron @ VW Specialties also thought the same. The right rear brakes are pulsating while negotiating those right hand sweepers. Amazing technology not my driving. LOL.

I just changed my brake assist to (strong) #2. I'm posting it here because I'll probably forget that I did it soon..

Let us know what that does.
It would be really nice to have someone with a Scirocco R check the values of all their settings in Vagcom.

The rear discs are smaller, so does it have to grip the disc hard to apply the same breaking force as the front discs?

I think the scirocco r also has more powerful brakes, right? This setting may not be meant for the standard gti brakes. Could cause very premature pad wear.

i dont care about replacing pads. if this setting just takes less pressure for brakes its for me. i dont need the "drivers experience" feeling everything on the road. less pressure just makes it easier to drive to me..
