good suspension and wheel setup?

I'm dumb when it comes to fitment first of all. looking through allot of these fitment threads might as well be reading gibberish. I'm looking to lower my car a tad and get some wheels and tires but it doesn't sound like the mk6 gives much room to work with. being budget minded I've come up with a Koni sport cup kit. 18x8 et42 XXR 527's and a 245/40R18 tire which I haven't narrowed down yet. the cup kit say it lowers 30mm front and back. assuming I would have to roll the fenders a little am I missing anything or will I have issues rubbing. I plan on doing the occasional autoX mostly just spirited street driving. open to suggestions from people more knowledgeable me. I know XXR has a bad wrap, I just love how they look.

The Fitment Industries database may be helpful.

I checked fitment industries, I guess where I'm more concerned is with the tire size.

I’ll throw out a hot take.... 245s on 8” wide wheels will probably not provide much more grip, if any at all, due to how the tire is pinched on the rim. 225/40s will almost certainly not rub, why not go with that?

Or even 235 on a 8.5" rim...as long as you watch the offsets
