I need to start doing some research on exhausts but wanted to ask here fiirst - I was originally intending to only do a DP mated to my stock CB, but apparently my midpipe is starting to fall apart. with that i might need to bite the bullet and got full TBE. Thing is i need something that is compliant with my states backwards-ass inspection laws. I dont need to have a cat or resonator as of now, but must have a baffled muffler. What's out there for catted TBEs with baffled mufflers? I'm thinking i may need to concoct something or get a custom job done for this....

The Random / "Stupid" Questions Thread

I have COBB full TBE high flow cat, non resonated. Inspection compliant here in Jersey and with an O2 spacer you’ll pass with a Stage 2 tune. I’m actually pissed I just found one on another site for under $1100!!! With cobb’s limited warranty! http://edgeautosport.com/cobb-tuning...mk6-2010-2014/ Last edited by notovicrious; 11-20-2017 at 09:16 AM. |

Downpipes
I have a 2.5" borla cat back and want to buy a 3" catless downpipe. I can't find anything online about this but do I need to buy a 3" to 2.5" adapter or?

When I accelerate hard from stopped at an angle, like if I'm pulling out of a driveway or merging into traffic while turning, the front wheels spin and the traction control light blinks. Is this a function of FWD? Do AWD cars have this problem too?

Think about this, the wheels are connected. When accelerating, they are both asked to increase rate of revolutions equally.
Now imagine a turn. One wheel covers way more ground. This is where a differential comes into play, and allows you to make turns because the two wheels are able to act independently somewhat. But if you are going too fast, the wheel on the inside of the turn will start to slip. This is where the traction issue comes from. When there is slip detected, power is cut from both wheels. That is also why people buy limited slip differential. Power is removed from slipping wheel but other wheel can still power. So that the other wheel helps you get through the turn. This is why lsd is mostly a corner enhancer. My answer is simplified some, so I would suggest looking up car differentials, open, closed, and limited slip Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk |
