Engine seized or timing went bad? Help

Hi guys, a few days ago (making a long story short) pretty much money shifted into a lower-lower gear and my car engine stoped running.

I was planing on rebuild the engineí but honestly I donít have the time, so I been looking at engines online.

I have a 2012 GTI with 120k stock. MY QUESTION IS, I found a 2014 gti engineí but i dont know if that would be a direct fit??..... also found 2011, donít know if that would fit either, For some reason all 2012-2013 engines are off the roof priced high. I donít get it -___- Iím located in New Jersey, if anybody can give me a hand I would gladly appreciate.

Thanks in advance

First thing would probably be to make sure the engines you're looking at are the same code if you havent already

I'd assume they'd all fit, but I'm no expert Just be sure to check if they're CBFA or CCTA to match whichever engine your car has.

I am pretty sure they would all fit also. I have a guy here in Dallas area that rebuilds engines. You can see my thread if your interested, I now have 2k miles on the rebuild and it runs strong. I paid $1900 but there was a $350 core charge. I can give you his contact info if your interested, hes a standup guy. I had issues with the first block I got from him but he gave me a new one. Exhaust stud was broken off in the head...I wasnt going to deal with that, he did and apologized for the issue. I dont make any money from this, hes just a stand up guy and builds a solid block. I'm ko4 and didnt run it too hard the first 1500 miles. Did an oil change now its ready to put the hammer down,I have and havent blown it up yet!
PM if interested
Thanks

Anyone know if any Tiguans came with CBFA engines? The only ones I have seen all have CCTA ones. I know the CC and EOS have CBFA engines but there are just way too few of those cars.
