Put my wheels back on and gave her a wash to prepare for my track day at Sonoma this Saturday.

Just pulled the trigger (andy_uranium ;D lol) and ordered the nonauto version of the Euro Switch + Wire from Bold-Sport. :B Can't wait to get it in! Will be my first actual mod to my GTI other than tinting the side markers and red taping the footwell lights!

Patiently waiting on the front lip spoiler I had ordered the other day. Planned on doing window tint next, and she goes in for her first schedule service sometime next week. I'll also have a professional detail job done before the winter.

Oh, and still waiting for that 1:43 Mk1 GTI die cast model from Driver Gear to ship from Germany.

Put my new 2013 MkVI through her first rain test on a few twisty turny back roads and was suitably impressed with the handling under very wet conditions. Learned where all the wiper controls were.

Generally had a sublime blast through the hills and corners.

Had to touch up the first stone chip after 4000km's. Lucky it was at the verry bottom of the front bumper and not really visable

Yesterday I put on a new lower-front grill and fog light grill pieces. The new ones are honeycomb in piano black, rather than the lined/bar style that the car comes with which aren't even painted - just that bland textured plastic.

Now I need to find a nice badgeless upper front grill in piano black so that I don't have to paint it.

You US guys are lucky. When I order something from the US I get it SLOWER than if I order from China. And, if I order from China I actually get the item very quickly.

On average it takes about 5-7 business days to get something that I've ordered from Hong-Kong. On average it takes 10 business days to get something that I've ordered from, say, California.
