Part# for the sun glass holder thing+trim?

Hey guys, I was looking for the part# for the tray in the roof that holds the sun glasses + the trim that holds it. I had an accident this week and broke it. I'm not sure what it's even called to look it up.

Thank you.

Nevermind I think I found it on ECS tuning, https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...1k0867489e82v/ .

I just need to find the sun glass holder part now.

You da man. I actually realized I only need the holder and not the trim. Didn't realize the holder contains everything regarding the tray and assembly within and that's what broke.

I just LOVE this site.

Little, if any, snarkiness. Someone asks, they get a good answer.

Kinda funny because now my driver side window switch failed on me. Had to order that now. Can't catch a break (or did I? ). Granted, this sun glass holder breaking was my own fault, but cmon now, a window switch failing on a 5 yr old car? What the hell.

Had to replace mine a few months ago.

I always have the driver side window down, or cracked a couple inches. When thereís any bit of rain making a turn instantly it soaks the door panel. I tend to think thatís the cause of mine at least.

Annoying for sure, but not as annoying as having the hatch latch break, I had to tie the hatch closed on a 2014 VW for a few days while I waited for the part, haha. Hopefully I don't have the switch issues that I see popping up from time to time on here.

I've dealt with all that stuff lol

My sunglass holder broke taking it out to replace the headliner. My window switch quit working a couple years ago and I replaced it with a crappy ebay switch that feels like it's gonna fall into the door every time I put my window down. My hatch latch busted a few months ago in a costco parking lot.

I'm fairly confident this is what caused mine to fail. I remember opening my door during a nasty rain storm over a year ago. Since that day, the switch always worked wonky. Things took a turn for the worst when I realized I could no longer perform the Auto Window Up, even after trying to reprogram it (holding switch for x amount of seconds). Then the switch began to get "stuck" in positions without fulling snapping back to it's original place.

Now, it's basically fubar, lol.

Whats part number? My switch works but wont auto close or open i have to hold it down. Other switches are fine. Also seems loose moves more than others.

Part Name
RB901503
Window Switch
Vehicle: 2014 Volkswagen GTI Wolfsburg Edition

This is what I ordered from carparts.com . They had one going for 10 bucks that looked like it was for my car but once I clicked on it and it opened the part page it gave me a message that it wasn't compatible. I didn't want to chance it so I bought the next one that was around 25 bucks.

Disregard my previous post. The switch arrived and dummy me, I didn't realize when I ordered it, it didn't have the silver tips on the switches. This is for the standard golf. I got an RMA filled out. Sending this biaatch back so I can get me silver tips. No way I'm going to rock standard switches in my GTI trim yo!
